Airline Rules Offer Passenger Protection

Flying gets a little less frustrating beginning today. New airline rules offer passenger protection that many believe are long overdue.  Some of the changes that go into effect today include:

  •  Bumped passengers can get up to $650 or $1,300, depending on flight delay
  • You're now entitled to a bag fee refund if the airline loses your bag
  • International flights stuck on U.S. tarmacs must allow passengers to get off after 4 hours

For more information, read the CNN Travel article "Airline Passengers Get New Protections".

Wow, that's quite a hefty refund specially for first class airline tickets. It helps to know these things.

And if, upon arrival, you find that your destination is not exactly as you had dreamed, do not be disappointed. Think of all you would have missed but for the journey there, and know that the true worth of your travels lies not in where you come to be at journey's end, but in who you come to be along the way.
