Galveston Island serves up Mardi Gras Texas Style

They say everything's bigger in Texas. With the exception of New Orleans, Galveston throws one of the largest Mardi Gras festivals in the country. This year's festivities take place between February 10 through February 21 on the island.
Galveston has celebrated Mardi Gras for over 100 years, and usually see guest attendance reach more than 250,000! During the season, the island comes alive with extravagant parades, more than 50 galas and festive events, bead throwing, exhibits, live entertainment and the best Gulf Coast cuisine in the world.
Hotel rooms during the event are likely to be scarce, but if you need help finding a hotel for Mardi Gras, contact us.
